School management, end to end

Everything a private school in Lagos, Accra, Nairobi or Lusaka needs to stop running on paper and WhatsApp groups.

Students and guardians

  • Full student records: admission number, photograph, class and arm, guardians, emergency contact, previous school, and medical notes kept behind their own permission.
  • A student may have several guardians, each with their own access — a father who pays fees, a grandmother authorised for pickup, an aunt who may see results but not the ledger.
  • One guardian account can cover children in different classes, and children at different schools.
  • Import hundreds of students from a spreadsheet, with every error shown before anything is saved.

Staff, classes and timetable

  • Staff records with employee number, qualifications, documents and employment status.
  • Teacher-subject-class assignments: Mrs Adeyemi, Mathematics, Primary 5A.
  • Your own class structure — Nursery 1 through SS 3, Grade R through Grade 12, Standard I through Form VI.
  • A timetable that flags a teacher booked in two classes at once, without blocking you halfway through rearranging it.

Attendance

  • A register a teacher can take on a phone in under a minute, with "mark all present" for the common case.
  • Present, absent, late, excused or sick — and late records how many minutes.
  • Keeps working when the network drops, and uploads itself when the signal returns. A retry never creates a duplicate register.
  • Automatic absence alerts to guardians, which the school can switch off.
  • Consecutive-absence detection, so a child drifting out of school is noticed before they are gone.

Fees and payments

  • Define tuition, registration, books, uniform, transport, meals, examination and any other charge, per class or per student.
  • Instalments, discounts, sibling discounts, scholarships, waivers and late fees.
  • A ledger per student: what was charged, what was paid, what is left.
  • Card and mobile money where your country supports it, plus cash, transfer, POS and cheque recorded by staff.
  • An online payment is only ever confirmed by the provider, never because a browser said so.
  • Printable receipts, frozen at the moment they are issued so a reprint matches the original.

Results and report cards

  • Your own assessment components and weighting — continuous assessment 40%, examination 60%, or whatever your school uses.
  • Your own grading system: A1–F9, A–F, competency levels 1–4, seven-level achievement, or descriptive bands for nursery.
  • Totals, subject positions, class averages and class position computed for you, with ties handled the way a report sheet expects.
  • Teacher and head comments, attendance, and the resumption date on the card.
  • Report cards stay unpublished until someone with authority publishes them.

Parents and communication

  • A parent portal that answers the four questions parents actually have: is my child in school, what is due, what are the latest marks, do I owe fees.
  • Announcements to the whole school, one class, or one parent, over in-app, email, SMS or WhatsApp.
  • Reusable templates, so the end-of-term message is written once.
  • A delivery log: who was sent what, over which channel, and whether it arrived.

Security and privacy

  • Each school’s data is isolated in the database itself, not merely filtered in the application.
  • Roles from super admin to student, with sensitive scopes — medical notes, finances — held separately from general access.
  • Two-factor authentication for administrative and finance accounts.
  • An audit trail of every grade change, payment edit and role change, with who, when and what changed.
